Dermaplaning

What is dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning will leave your skin flawless, glowing, and baby soft. Dermaplaning uses a surgical blade to gently remove to first layer of dead skin off the face as well as any unwanted baby vellus hairs (no, villus hair does not grow back thicker). Dermaplaning helps with acne by clearing away dead skin and hairs that trap dirt in the pores. It also allows your skincare products to penetrate the skin easier. It has no recovery time, leave your appointment glowing! *Clients who have sensitive skin can experience very mild redness that will go away within an hour.

Dermaplaning is also highly recommended for brides or special events because it will make your makeup apply flawlessly on your smooth canvas!

Dermaplaning Precautions

  • Be prepared to be able to stay still and refrain from talking during procedure.
  • Dermaplaning can not be preformed with active cold sores/active acne.
  • Please reschedule your appointment if you have a rash on your face.
  • Dermaplaning can not be preformed on sunburned or windburned skin.
  • Do not get a chemical peel or laser treatment two weeks before and two weeks after procedure.
  • You can not be dermaplanned if you are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation.
  • Diabetes must be under control with diet/medication.
  • Dermaplanning can not be preformed if you have a history of bleeding problems/delayed coagulation.
